A video of a young man catching fish with his hands from a decorative pond at a recreation center and verbally abusing a woman who objected has sparked widespread discussion on social media. According to the Tashkent City Police Department, the incident occurred on June 23 at around 10 p.m. at a recreation center in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of the capital.

M.Sh. (born in 2003) caught a fish from the pond.

DA (born in 2000) told him that this action was wrong and asked him to return the fish to the water.

However, M.Sh. in response used rude words towards the woman, publicly insulted her and violated public order. In this case, an administrative report was drawn up against M.Sh. under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Uzbekistan (petty hooliganism). The case materials were sent to the Mirzo Ulugbek District Criminal Court. The Department of Internal Affairs reminds: it is the duty of every citizen to observe the rules of etiquette in public places and to treat others with respect. Any person who violates the order is liable to the law.
