Residents of Shahriabad neighborhood demand solution to illegal landfill problem

Residents of the Shahriobad neighborhood in Mirzo-Ulug'bek district have appealed to the authorities to take action to eliminate an illegal dump in their residential area. The dump is located next to the wall of kindergarten No. 403, in the residential area.

Initially, employees of housing and communal services (JEK/TSJ) began to place garbage in this area. Later, residents of the neighborhood also began to throw construction and household waste there. As a result, a real illegal dump was formed just a few meters from the children's institution, in the green zone, while there is an official garbage container 4-5 meters away.

Currently, there is no control over this situation: neither the mahalla leadership nor the JEK employees, who are actually the ones who caused the pollution of the area. The garbage is increasing day by day, which harms the environment, the sanitary condition of the district, and threatens the health of children and residents of the mahalla.

The residents of the neighborhood are asking for the following:
1. The illegal dump should be cleaned up immediately.
2. Those who established and continued the garbage dump, including the JEK and representatives of the mahalla, should be held accountable.
3. Install video surveillance cameras in this area to prevent littering.
