Why Are There So Many Bicycles and Electric Scooters in Tel Aviv?

One of the things that immediately catches the attention of anyone arriving in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv is the large number of bicycles, electric scooters and other small electric vehicles on the streets. Especially in the city centre, it is common to see people travelling short distances by two-wheeled transport instead of using a car.

The next destination for participants of the exchange programme dedicated to learning about Israel’s advanced experience in water resource management, water-saving technologies, wastewater treatment and reuse, digital water management, innovative water solutions, and climate-resilient infrastructure was the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.

At the initiative of the Embassy of Israel in Uzbekistan, a group of Uzbek specialists working in the field of water resource management and conservation, as well as representatives of the “Ekolog” Public Association and the ekolog.uz website, visited Israel. The main purpose of the visit was to gain first-hand knowledge of Israel’s experience in managing and conserving water under conditions of limited water resources, urban water supply systems, wastewater treatment and reuse, reducing water losses in distribution networks, and modern water-saving technologies.
